Thus, fatality rate per million population stood at 37, remaining 9 points below the average rate of the European Union countries (46) and being the sixth lowest in the European Union, only behind Sweden (22), Denmark (26), Ireland (31), Germany (33) and Finland (35) and at the same level as the Netherlands and Estonia (both also at 37).
