6th Encuentro Aporta

Next 3rd October the sixth edition of the Encuentro Aporta will take place in Madrid, an annual event that aims to foster the openness and re-use of public sector information in Spain. In this occasion, within the program of activities organised the days previous to the International Open Data Conference and under the theme "Global cooperation, local impact", this meeting will bring together national experts who will share innovative solutions and cooperate in order to guarantee the global consensus needed to ensure the benefits of the re-use of open data.
Year after year, this meeting, promoted by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, with the collaboration of the Public Enterprise Red.es, and the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration, has become a forum for discuss and dialogue for each stakeholder involved in the Spanish open data industry, from activists and infomediaries to public and private entities. Thanks to this initiative it is possible to assess the progress made in the sector while new challenges are identified and solutions for the needs of the national open data community arise.
This year, the Encuentro Aporta 2016 will focus on showing, analyzing and reflecting on examples, case studies and projects related to three areas of work:
- Sharing open data projects based on coordination and harmonization as drivers to create innovative solutions with social and economic impact.
- Analysis of good business practices related to product and services oriented to the re-use of public and private sector information.
- Common reflection on local and global projects designed to boost the most important action areas in the global open data roadmap: standards, building of capacities and skills, innovation, and measuring of achievements and impact of the action.
Free and due to the limited number of places, attendees must register through the online form which will be created for the 6th Encuentro Aporta. For more information, follow datos.gob profile on Twitter and LinkedIn where the lastest news will be published. See you in Madrid!
