Transport Networks of Spain

Description

The Reference Geographic Information Transport Network is a three-dimensional intermodal network with national coverage, defined and published in accordance with the INSPIRE Directive, and updated within the framework of cooperation with the Spanish National Cartographic System (www.scne.es). It is made up of five modes of transport: road network (which includes the road network, urban network and roads), rail transport network, inland waterway transport network, air transport network and cable transport network, in addition to their respective intermodal connections and associated infrastructures. It has been carried out from the integration of product data from the General State Administration (IGN, ADIF...) and from the Administrations of certain Autonomous Communities: Comunitat Valenciana and Eusko Jaurlaritza/Gobierno Vasco. The data are distributed in provincial and national files. The thematic content in both cases is the same for all modes, except for the road network. In this mode, the provincial files contain data related to the road network, urban roads, bicycle lanes, and path network, while the national file contains only data related to the road network.
