This dataset provides the bibliographic database used for a critical review of Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems (AKIS) research in Europe conducted from a transformative agroecology perspective. It contains the full list of 50 peer-reviewed articles published in English that were identified through a systematic search in four academic databases and selected according to predefined inclusion criteria. The dataset includes bibliographic metadata for each publication (e.g., authors, year, title, journal, and publication details) and serves as the reference base for the literature analysed in the review. It enables transparency and reproducibility of the article selection process and facilitates further bibliometric analysis or literature reviews on AKIS research in Europe.
