New webinar to promote Business to Government (B2G) Data Sharing

The European Data Portal (EDP) organizes a webinar to delve into data sharing between companies and public administrations (Business to Government or B2G) on 23 May. The main conclusions of the last EDP report -entitled Analytical Report 12: Business-to-Government Data Sharing- will be shared in the webinar, whose objective is to promote the supply of private sector data to public bodies under preferential conditions for its re-use.
Specifically, during the webinar the following issues will be analyzed:
- The benefits of B2G data sharing for both companies and public organizations: from improving reputation and decision-making to increasing efficiency when providing services to citizens.
- The challenges to overcome in order to get success in B2G data sharing, paying special attention to organizational, technical and legal barriers.
- Different models for B2G data sharing, such as data donorship or multi-party data sharing agreement.
- Good practices that can guarantee a continuous data sharing over time, as well as a sustainable and responsible use of the data.
The webinar will start at 09:45 a.m. CET and will present 3 speakers with years of experience in this field:
- Stefaan Verhulst, Co-Founder and Chief of Research and Development in the GovLab.
- David Osimo, Director of Research in the Lisbon Council.
- Esther Huyer, Senior Consultant in the European Data Portal and author of B2G Data Sharing report.
