Main products and services

Geomatico is dedicated to developing customised GIS solutions using open technologies. They create web applications and platforms that facilitate the visualisation, analysis and management of spatial information in sectors such as mobility, the environment and agriculture.

Innovation is a very important part of their work. They develop projects that integrate satellite data and predictive models, and work on digital twins that combine 3D data, time series and simulations to dynamically represent reality and support decision-making. They also offer consulting and training in open source tools such as PostGIS, QGIS, and GeoServer, helping organisations modernise and optimise their geospatial infrastructures. In general, they support their clients in ensuring they have scalable, reliable, and easy-to-maintain systems.

They specialise in complex applications with large volumes of data that enable advanced visualisation and analysis. But, apart from being powerful, it is essential that they are easy to use, and perhaps this is what they do best: create applications that really add value to geographic data.

Geomatico uses open data from the Land Registry for its activities. Recently, it has used open data from the Land Registry and base mapping from Open Street Maps to develop Catastro España 3D, a viewer of buildings in Spain based on Land Registry data, in which they can be symbolised by year of construction and by use: https://geomatico.es/edificios-3d-a-partir-del-catastro/

Although they have developed numerous models, their priority is customised development based on free software. Only by using this software can they ensure that the client will have access to all the functionality of the tools without additional licence costs, and a solution that is perfectly tailored to their needs.
