Map of Towns and Climate Zones in Spain

TE Climate Zones Consultant is an interactive web application that allows users to check the climate zone of any municipality in Spain according to the Building Technical Code (CTE DB-HE 2021).

It includes data on altitude, population, and average income by municipality. It is developed as a Progressive Web App (PWA) with free access, enabling citizens and professionals in the construction sector to consult the climate classification of Spanish municipalities in accordance with current energy efficiency regulations in buildings.

Features:

• Municipality search: სწრაფ location of any of Spain’s 8,000+ municipalities באמצעות predictive search.
• Map visualization: Interactive map with the geographic boundaries of the selected municipality.
• Detailed information: For each municipality, the app displays INE code, province, altitude above sea level, climate zone (winter and summer climate severity), population, and average per capita income.
• Offline functionality: Once loaded, the application works without an internet connection.
• Installable: Available as an app on Android and iOS mobile devices.

Data sources:

• Climate zones: Building Technical Code, Basic Energy Saving Document (CTE DB-HE 2021), published by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda.
• Municipal codes: Local Entities Register of the National Statistics Institute (INE).
• Municipal boundaries: Boundary lines database from the National Geographic Information Center (CNIG).
• Municipal population: Continuous Register (Padrón Continuo) from the INE.
• Average income per inhabitant: Household Income Distribution Atlas, prepared by the INE in collaboration with the Tax Agency.
