Liight

Liight's mission is to motivate people to be more sustainable in their daily lives. Through technology and gamification, it encourages people to acquire sustainable habits. Liight has an app capable of tracking and validating in real time different actions such as the use of public transport, cycling or recycling, using AI to check the veracity of these activities through data collected by the different sensors of the user's mobile device and contrasting with databases of smartcities, mobility companies, waste management, etc.

Main products and services:

Liight has a "Community" model aimed at people living in Spain (mainly in large cities where there is a greater complexity and wealth of data and alternatives in terms of mobility, among others) and through which users acquire sustainable habits promoting the fight against climate change.

In addition, in this model Liight collaborates with city councils, universities, brands, businesses, various communities and other institutions promoting a more sustainable lifestyle, the app is available on both iOS and Android platforms.

On the other hand, it also offers a "Corporate" model to different companies in Saas B2B format to deliver these benefits to their employees, promoting a more sustainable corporate culture and thus improving issues such as the working environment, CSR or team building. Its objective is to generate sustainable habits among employees in their daily commuting, inside and outside the office. To this end, it has the "Eco Office", "Eco Cities" and "Eco Homes" programmes, the latter of which was recently created as a result of the situation caused by the Covid pandemic and the great impetus given to teleworking.

The value proposition comes through the generation of sustainability reports, anonymised activity tracking, dynamisation of exclusive challenges, cultural transformation and other mechanisms that promote sustainability and employee wellbeing internally.

Key to success:

Liight is a cross-platform solution to climate-related problems, transforming users' habits, promoting sustainable business and demonstrating the reduction of environmental impact for public institutions and companies. User engagement with the app is positive thanks to the development of an intuitive, attractive and even largely automatic solution. On the other hand, this interest and use by the citizen/employee is perfect for generating synergies with a reciprocal benefit for brands, cities and companies that find in Liight an attractive, effective and easy to implement solution in their environments. Climate change is a problem that affects us all, but with the right approach we can try to mitigate it by promoting a Movement (Liight Movement) that everyone can be part of with an optimistic vision (yet realistic and demanding in action), conscious, coherent, active and pursuing a positive impact on society and the planet.

Liight works with different types of clients, the most relevant being large and medium sized companies with a strategic focus on sustainability and who want to promote a corporate culture consistent with their values in relation to sustainability. These companies are from various sectors as sustainability affects the whole company in a transversal way.

The startup's focus is especially aimed at corporate clients, for which it already has a packaged solution with a certain degree of customisation that allows it to respond to the demands of these companies in an agile, scalable way and with very good results. The value proposition is unique and has the flexibility to adapt to attack B2B - B2B2C opportunities or more specific cases, taking advantage of the versatility and integrability of the digital solution.

Among its main clients, Liight has businesses or brands in the "Community" section, medium-sized clients with companies from 50-70 employees up to 500, city councils and institutions and large corporations such as Acciona, Santander, Estrella Galicia, Capital Energy or Ecoembes through the "Liight Corporate" model.

Marketing model:

This data that the company collects is generally used to improve the user experience of sustainable habits. Liight's mission is to motivate people to be more sustainable and they believe that to do this, they must help make it easy and convenient to make sustainable choices, while making it fun and motivating through gamification and rewards. Data helps above all to make it easier for users to access sustainable mobility options and to validate that they are actually doing the activities they claim to do.

The commercialisation model is through marketing in its application in the "Community" model and by charging for use and service (Saas B2B) in the "Corporate" model either via subscription or through customised projects. Liight is also distributed through partners in order to achieve the widest possible deployment and drive positive impact.
