Under the slogan "The value of data for the health and well-being of citizens" is the fourth edition of the Aporta Challenge aimed at capturing, analysing and using the intelligence of data in the development of solutions for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and management of aspects related to citizens’ health and lifestyles.

With “The value of data in digital education” as its theme, the aim of this third iteration of the of the Aporta Challenge is to recognise ideas and prototypes which identify new opportunities for capturing, analysing and utilising data intelligence to develop solutions in the field of education.

Aporta Challenge 2019

We are organising the second Aporta Challenge. With ‘The value of data to the agri-food, forestry and rural sector’ as its theme, this time round the challenge is aimed at identifying new ideas and prototypes based on open data, which help to improve the efficiency of those sectors, which are fundamental to wealth and job creation.

Our goal is to encourage the direct reuse of information generated by the public sector in order to improve that sector, incentivising the talent, technical ability and creativity of the participants.

Entrevista a Open Science Training Initiative

Fundadora del proyecto Open Science Training Initiative, Sophie Kay se doctoró en Biología de Sistemas por la Universidad de Oxford. Como reconocimiento a su trabajo, ha recibido varios galardones entre los que se encuentra el OxTalent Award al mejor esquema educativo abierto o el Oxford Teaching Award 2013. Además, Sophie Kay ha sido finalista de los premios UK S-Lab 2014.

Carlos Matallín Civera, Gonzalo Izquierdo Gracia, Luís Bosque y Sergio Rubio Gracia formaron el equipo HURACÁN, ganador de premio “Idea de Negocio” del Jacathon 2014.

Su proyecto Aragón Open Trails es una aplicación que brinda los senderos de Aragón más cercanos según la localización del usuario.
