GEOCODE

Geocode is a tool designed to improve the quality of company databases and facilitate information management. This geocoding service makes it possible to obtain the cadastral reference associated with electricity supply points.

This service involves the functionalities of standardisation and correction of the postal addresses of the property and the assignment with the previously processed public cadastral data from the different sources available in Spain: National Directorate of Cadastre and cadastral portals of Navarre and the Basque Country. Cross-referencing criteria are applied based on the analysis of the source data, reaching assignment levels of over 80%.

To keep the information updated for new clients and modifications, integration with the service is implemented through requests to the web services available in the Geocode API operations catalogue.

Geocode facilitates the updating of customer data of energy suppliers with their corresponding cadastral reference, thus complying with a regulatory requirement of the State Tax Administration Agency (AEAT).
